About A Boy is about a man - a handsome, rich, shallow, self-absorbed, irresistible cad - and the unexpected relationship he develops with a boy he meets while trying to pick up another boy's mother.

Description
Terminally single and ecstatically child-free, Will (Hugh Grant) a trendy, 38-year-old Londoner, spends his days buying new CDs, shoppping for designer clothes and worrying about his Audi Coupe and up-to-the-second hairstyle. Nights, whenever possible, are devoted to beautiful women. Work? What's that? Thanks to a ubiquitous Christmas standard written by his dad and recorded by everyone from Elvis to the Muppets, Will doesn't have to work like the rest of the world. The royalties rolling in have enabled him to make a profession - an art, really - out of avoiding responsibility.

But, this is all changed by his unexpected relationship with 12 year old Marcus (Nicholas Hoult).
